Former FIM Speedway Grand Prix finalist Dominik Kubera is back on the sport’s biggest stage after being named as wild card for the Orlen FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Warsaw on May 13.

Kubera lines up in the famous No.16 race jacket at the iconic PGE Narodowy stadium in Poland’s biggest speedway event.
The Leszno-born racer stormed to second place on his World Championship debut at FIM Lublin Speedway GP round five on August 6, 2021, before following up with third place in round six, part two of the double-header, 24 hours later. Kubera’s last Speedway GP appearance saw him reach the FIM Swedish Speedway GP semi-finals in Malilla on August 14, 2021, finishing with 10 championship points.

While this is his Orlen FIM Warsaw Speedway GP debut, he did serve as track reserve in the 2019 PGE Narodowy event but did not take a ride.
Kubera lines up alongside triple world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik, his club teammate at both PGE Ekstraliga champions Lublin and Swedish Bauhaus Elitserien side Lejonen. World No.3 Maciej Janowski and former world No.2 Patryk Dudek also represent Poland at an event which drew over 50,000 fans to the capital in 2022.

The Orlen FIM Warsaw Speedway GP field is completed by track reserves Bartlomiej Kowalski and Wiktor Przyjemski, who line up in the No.17 and No.18 race jackets respectively.
Kowalski, 21, races for Wroclaw in the PGE Ekstraliga, while 2022 SGP2 rider Przyjemski, 17, competes for his hometown team Bydgoszcz in the Polish First Division.
